When you first supply new credit card details to BinaryLane, in most cases we will request a authorization hold for $1. This allows BinaryLane to confirm that your provided credit card details are valid.
The authorization hold is discarded on our end and your bank will return the $1 to your available balance generally within 7 days, although some providers may take up to 30 days.
An authorization hold differs from a standard debit in that it while it reduces your available credit, it is not a "payment" - BinaryLane does not receive $1, you are not required to pay your credit card provider the $1 amount and you are not charged interest on it.
